Your Parish Council is desperate for someone who can tell a flower from a weed!!!
Robin Lovegrove has tended the garden for years – Thank you, Robin and Jill.
BUT they are leaving the village and we need someone to take over their job.
The Jubilee Garden was conceived at the beginning of 1977 – the year of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee – thus its name. It was opened by Charles Crane (Chief Executive of Allerdale Council at the time) who lived in the village at Bleamire. He was wearing Union Jack socks and a bow tie to match.
The garden is now well established but we desperately need people to replace Robin.

Money is available from the Parish Council to fund plants etc.
Since the pandemic I cannot believe the number of people taking their kiddies out for a walk around the village – these are the ideal candidates and what a brilliant way to meet other villagers.
